Alameda County Food Bank partners with Sequoia and Cub Scout Pack 296

Cub Scout Pack 296 participates in a food drive every November and we are reaching out to our own elementary schools for help. There will be an Alameda County Food Bank food donation barrel in the front entry way starting this week. Please drop off any unopened food items to help those in need.
The food bank recommends donating the following (however any healthy non-perishable item is accepted)
– Canned meats and fish
– Low-sodium soups and stews
– Nuts and beans
– Brown rice and quinoa
– Peanut butter
– Whole grain cereal
The Alameda County food banks assist 1 in 5 residents and many are young children. Please consider donating a few cans of food to help those who are hungry. For more information on volunteering or participating in the food bank’s virtual food drive: https://www.accfb.org/

The barrel will be picked up the week after Thanksgiving so please bring in your food donations before Thanksgiving break.
