Annual Sequoia Readathon Ends Today, Monday, March 5

The Readathon ends today, and all Reading Logs, Donation Logs and all donations are also due to your child’s teacher today. Students took home a Readathon packet containing all the information and materials you need to help your child keep track of how many minutes she/he reads between Friday, Feb. 23 and today, March 5. Being read to by another person and listening to an audiobook also counts towards minutes read. The students with the most minutes will be invited to a special Readers’ Tea.

Volunteers are needed for the March 23 Readers’ Tea, a special event for the top two readers from every class and the top five fundraisers from the entire school. Donate food and drinks for the Readers’ Tea. Help set up and break down the event. Play games, make crafts and help us honor our great readers and fundraisers.

Email the Readathon Committee (Brent Cunningham, Melissa Benham and Kathie Rhodes) at SequoiaReadathon@gmail.com for questions or to volunteer.

We all win by encouraging our children to read, read, read!
