Calling All Bookworms and Benefactors

Sequoia’s last big fundraiser, the annual Readathon, is underway. We know all of our kids are reading their hearts out. We need families to fundraise with the same gusto.

Given some severe district cuts, we aim to raise $40K, up from last year’s $25K goal, to specifically cover technology enrichment as well as ST Math. This money also supports gardening, art, music and science, as well as our incredible enrichment teachers. Please give what you can and encourage your circles to do so as well. If you haven’t already, please set up a Network for Good “personal fundraiser” for your student and share with friends, family, neighbors and colleagues. Just go to https://sequoiaschool.networkforgood.com/ and use your login/password from the 2018 Readathon or create a new account.

Family Reading Night is from 6:30 to 8 p.m. this Thursday in the auditorium, and Friday is D.E.A.R. Day, when kids come to school in pajamas or dress as their favorite literary characters, and guest readers come to read books they love. We also sell Peet’s Coffee and La Farine pastries to grown-up Squirrels in the morning.
