School is CLOSED Friday November 16

Greetings OUSD Students, Families and Staff, We are announcing now that we are CANCELLING school for tomorrow, Friday, November 16. The air quality across the Bay Area because of the wildfires has become worse, especially around some schools. After consulting with public health experts, we have determined the best course of action is to close schools and central office on Friday. This means there is no school tomorrow, and staff is instructed that the offices are also closed. Principals, please work with your custodial staff to secure your schools for next week’s holiday break. All prospective Sequoia families are invited to attend the Prospective Sequoia Family Information Night on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 7:15–8:30 p.m. in the auditorium. Families will meet Principal Bertolo, along with teachers and parents who will introduce them to our vibrant school and answer questions. Thank you to all the Squirrels who volunteered to make the Harvest Festival a great success. While building community and getting into the autumnal spirit, we raised more than $3,000 for our school!
