Dress Code

Here at Sequoia, we recognize that dress affects attitudes and behavior. School should be a place for teaching and learning.

When choosing clothing for school, follow these guidelines:

  1. All shirts and tank tops need to have at least a 2-inch-wide shoulder; no spaghetti straps.
  2. All shorts and skirts must be at least fingertip length. (In other words, when the child puts his/her arms straight down, the shorts or skirt comes at least to the bottom of his/her fingertips.)
  3. T-shirts should have no offensive materials printed on them (i.e., profanity).
  4. Jeans and pants need to be no lower than the belly button.
  5. Shirts, tank tops and blouses need to come down to at least the belly button.
