Support Sequoia

Support Sequoia

Support Sequoia is an annual giving campaign, responsible for about a third of our overall fundraising! Nothing is bought or sold; families are simply asked to make a tax-deductible donation that goes directly to our enrichment programs. This is our largest fundraiser of the year. With school-wide participation, we can continue to offer these amazing programs — programs that not only give our students a well-rounded education, but also support Sequoia’s core academic instruction by giving our teachers time with smaller class groups, tailored to students’ individual needs. The 2019-2020 campaign runs August 28 through September 26, 2019.

We have many fundraisers at Sequoia but the easiest and most fruitful is Support Sequoia. There is nothing for you to buy, sell or do except donate what you can. Just watch for the Support Sequoia packet at the Back to School Night on August 28, 2019.

As costs rise in the Bay Area, it is crucial that all of our teachers can afford to continue to be a part of the Sequoia community. We can directly aid our enrichment teachers’ salaries through our donations to each of the school fundraisers.

The programs that your donations go towards cost around $480 per student, so it is important to participate. Please help keep these classes going by donating what you can. Every donation, large or small, makes a difference as we work to raise $100,000 over four weeks.

Our goal is 100% participation. Every student who returns the Support Sequoia form, with or without a donation, receives a cool prize. Additionally, if the class participation is at 100%, the class will get an extra recess. If the whole school is at 100%, the principal will do something truly spectacular to celebrate!

You can make a one-time donation on our donate page, or you can spread your donation over the year by signing up for 12 automatic monthly payments. If you can, please consider increasing your donation to cover enrichment for another child in the Sequoia community.
